  • HIFU
What is HIFU Treatment (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound)? HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) is a non-surgical skin treatment which is used to tighten, smooth, and firm your skin. It is a minimally invasive skin tightening and skin lifting facial rejuvenation treatment. During the HIFU skin tightening treatment, HIFU energy quickly causes the treated tissue to warm up. This heat creates something called a thermal injury which tricks the body into repair mode, thus producing new collagen and elastin. The treatment can target different depths of your skin, from the top layer down to the SMAS which is a mesh that lays over the top of your muscle, which results in tighter, firmer, and smoother skin. Where can HIFU be used? High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) can be used on the face, neck, decolletage, and body: Face: HIFU can be used to target the forehead, eyes, cheeks, chin, and jaw line. It can help with heavy lines, eyebrow lifting, under eye bags, crow's feet, nasolabial folds, depressions, double chin, jowls, and v-line forming. This is known as the non invasive face lift. Neck and chest: HIFU can help with wrinkles and loose skin. Body: HIFU can be used to target the abdomen, stomach, hips, buttocks, outer and inner thighs, and inner arms. It can help tighten loose sagging skin and get rid of small pockets of fat. Who Is Suitable For HIFU Treatments? HIFU is more suited to mild to moderate skin laxity. Non-invasive treatments are not likely to give those who require surgical treatment their ultimate results. Having said that, those who have more advanced skin sagging and signs of ageing can consider combining HIFU with other non-invasive skin treatments should they not be interested in surgery. HIFU Skin Tightening Treatment may be right for you if you seek natural but noticeable results and have crepey, sagging skin on your face, neck, or body. It is suitable if your skin has lost its bounce and you notice fine lines, wrinkles, or loose skin in the jowl area. If your jawline is less defined, the skin on your neck is becoming loose, wrinkled, or crepey, or if you would like to redefine features such as your cheeks, tighten, and contour your skin, this non-invasive treatment with no downtime might be ideal. In cases of more advanced skin laxity and ageing signs, combining HIFU with other aesthetic treatments like the liquid face lift may be appropriate, and this would be thoroughly discussed during your skin consultation and assessment. Where Can I Get The HIFU Face Treatment Near Me? We offer HIFU treatments for both your face and body following a thorough consultation at our Aesthetics & Beauty clinic based in Lymm, Warrington; we can be found centrally with lots of nearby parking options. When To See HIFU Results? On average, full results are seen around three months after you've finished your course of HIFU. Some people may notice a subtle improvement a few days following the treatment, known as the ‘collagen contracture’ stage. Results are dependent on the individual’s own skin-repairing mechanism during which collagen production is stimulated and formed which can take several months. It is advisable to plan the HIFU treatment in advance of an event that you wish to see results in time as full results are not immediate. As with many medical-aesthetic treatments, lifestyle can have an impact on the results. Some clients may see immediate initial improvements, however, the optimal time when clients will see lifting, tightening and firming is three months after treatment with gradual improvements noticed once the skin has had time to repair and produce new collagen and elastin which holds the structure of the skin. During this period, older collagen is replaced and the building process continues clients may even see improvements for up to six months after the final procedure. The amazing Focus Dual comes with a proven safety record so you can feel rest assured that your safety is paramount. This treatment is suitable for all skin types and feels comfortable whilst receiving treatment. HIFU Skin Tightening Side Effects? HIFU skin tightening is considered a safe treatment when performed by a qualified and fully trained practitioner. One of the reasons why the HIFU facial is so popular at our Lymm clinic is that you can carry on your usual activities immediately after your HIFU treatment. You may have some pinkness or redness and light swelling of the tissue of your facial skin immediately after, but this usually subsides quickly; our clients are happy to go back to work or to socialise immediately after with the application of tinted sunscreen if required. You may have some light tingling in the area treated, this usually subsides quite quickly but it has been reported to last for a few weeks. Rare side effects include temporary numbing in the area which usually subsides after a few days, and bruising. During a consultation, before you decide upon any treatments, your practitioner should discuss both the benefits of the treatment and any possible side effects with you. Does HIFU Get Rid Of Wrinkles? Although HIFU is often referred to for skin tightening, it also reduces wrinkles and generally smooths your skin. Does HIFU Help With Sagging Skin? HIFU is a noninvasive skin tightening procedure that is ideal for facial rejuvenation. It can tighten sagging skin, especially facial and neck skin, redefine your features (such as your jawline), smooth your skin, and reduce your wrinkles. HIFU can be used on the face, neck, decolletage, and body. How Long Will HIFU Last? The duration of HIFU skin tightening results varies between individuals, influenced by lifestyle factors like stress, smoking, exercise, and sun exposure. Most people see results lasting 12 to 18 months. You can maintain your results with follow-up treatments at our clinic. HIFU facelifts offer non-surgical skin tightening by sending focused ultrasound energy waves to various skin depths, targeting the same layers as surgical facelifts but without knives or downtime. Recent technological advancements allow for visible results from the first session, with optimal outcomes achieved through a course of three treatments spaced one month apart. If you notice sagging skin or jowls, HIFU might be the nonsurgical skin tightening procedure for you At What Age Should I Get the HIFU Treatment? We wouldn't recommend it to anybody younger than 18 to get the high-intensity focused ultrasound, HIFU procedure. Most of our clients at HIFU are in their fourth decade and are beginning to reveal those signs of skin ageing. For purposes of very advanced signs, people combine the procedure with others because HIFU might not tackle everything. About skin tightening, though, HIFU is most likely to be unnecessary for younger skin but may be performed if there is any sign, such as crepey skin over the abdomen. Can HIFU Cause Prostate Cancer? No. HIFU is used to treat locally advanced prostate cancer, however, it gained FDA approval in 2009 for tissue tightening. It does not cause prostate cancer. Some people incorrectly think that high-frequency sound waves cause prostate cancer cells to develop in your prostate gland, however, this is not true. The HIFU machine has won the Health and Care Excellence Award, HIFU is a safe treatment because the ultrasound energy targets only the skin's upper dermal, lower dermal and SMAS layers. Are HIFU Ultrasound Waves Painful? There can be some discomfort during the treatment but it is usually tolerated well. You may decide to take over-the-counter pain medication prior to the treatment for additional comfort. During the treatment, you may feel tingling, warmth and/or heat as the treatment pulses are applied. Disclaimer: This blog is not to be used for diagnostic purposes. We are all unique which means that our results, recovery and suitability for any type of treatment will vary. Always seek the advice of a professional should you have any health or cosmetic concerns or to discuss treatments specifically for you.
  • Polynucleotides
Polynucleotides are a groundbreaking concept of regenerative medicine, which promote cell turnover, improve skin elasticity and hydration, heal sun damaged skin, and improve photoaging and acne scarring, giving a more nourished, healthy, and revitalised complexion. They are also great for easing hormonal acne. Polynucleotides are filtered and ultra-purified natural DNA fractions that initiate your body's natural fibroblast production, resulting in increased collagen (47% in 23 days) and a thicker, healthier epidermis (52% in 23 days). This helps improve scars, reduce stretch marks, and improve skin texture concerns. As it enters repair mode, your skin's discoloration improves, leaving a more even tone. Additionally, polynucleotides produce a mild increase in volume and tightening as an overall effect. Polynucleotides can be effectively used for various facial areas including under the eyes, neck, and even the jawline and cheekbones. Currently, the most sought-after application tends to be the under-eye area. Can I combine polynucleotides with other aesthetics treatments, such as skin boosters? Yes! You may even opt for both Skin Boosters/Profhilo or Polynucleotides together, delaying cellular ageing and enhancing hydration in one fell swoop. Generally speaking, though, Polynucleotides tend to be more effective on mature skin, while Skin Boosters/Profhilo is great for those in younger age brackets. How many sessions are recommended? Depending on your age, lifestyle factors and previous treatments, a course of polunucleotide treatment’s may be required to see the full benefits, around 2 – 4 weeks apart. Typically, 2 – 4 treatments are suggested. Your practitioner will discuss this at your consultation. Review appointments are not usually required.
  • PRP Platelet-rich plasma
However, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is one such therapy that can give your skin a radiant glow and your hair the nourishment it needs to grow and shine. This innovative procedure involves using your blood to stimulate hair growth or boost collagen production in the skin. PRP can be used all over the body, treating the face, neck, decollate, hands, arms, stomach, legs, head/hair follicles and more. PRP is a scientifically proven treatment that can reinvigorate dormant hair follicles, improve the quality of your hair and scalp and stimulate new hair growth. Platelets are injected into the scalp to reach the bottom of the hair follicle; stimulating dermal papilla cells which are critical in hair growth. Most people who undergo PRP therapy achieve permanent results. However, one should keep in mind that the results may vary from person to person. PRP hair restoration involves a minimum of three sessions at an interval of 3 - 6 weeks, followed by maintenance treatments twice a year. Platelets are rich in growth factors that stimulate cell turnover, collagen production, and tissue regeneration. Which also makes it great for reducing fine lines and wrinkles. Contraindications: Patients who take anticoagulants or fibrinolytic drug therapy (to dissolve blood clots) can't have a PRP injection unless they can temporarily stop taking the medication, however, this must be consulted with your GP.

General Suitability: Adults and Teens: Generally, adults and teenagers can benefit from the treatment. It’s less commonly recommended for very young children due to their more delicate scalp and hair. Men and Women: The treatment is suitable for both men and women, addressing common scalp and hair concerns across genders. Client Suitability for a Japanese Head Spa A Japanese head spa treatment can be suitable for a wide range of clients due to its customizable nature and holistic benefits. However, certain individuals may find it particularly beneficial or should consider specific aspects before undergoing the treatment. Here’s a detailed look at client suitability: Ideal Candidates for a Japanese Head Spa: Individuals with Scalp Issues: Dandruff or Flakiness: Those experiencing dry, flaky scalp conditions can benefit from the deep cleansing and hydrating aspects of the treatment. Excess Oil Production: Clients with oily scalps will appreciate the thorough cleansing and detoxifying effects. Itchy or Irritated Scalp: The soothing ingredients and gentle massage can help alleviate scalp irritation and itching. People Experiencing Hair Loss or Thinning: The treatment promotes blood circulation and nutrient delivery to hair follicles, which can support hair growth and reduce hair loss. Those with Damaged Hair: Chemical or Heat Damage: Individuals with hair damaged by coloring, perming, or heat styling can benefit from the nourishing and repairing products used in the treatment. Split Ends and Breakage: Strengthening ingredients help reduce breakage and improve overall hair resilience. Clients Seeking Relaxation: The therapeutic massage and aromatherapy elements make it an excellent choice for those looking to reduce stress and achieve deep relaxation. People Preparing for Special Occasions: The immediate aesthetic benefits, such as enhanced shine and smoothness, make it suitable for those preparing for events or important occasions. Regular Hair and Scalp Maintenance: Those who prioritize ongoing scalp and hair health can use head spa treatments as part of their regular self-care routine. Considerations for Specific Client Groups: Sensitive Skin or Scalp Conditions: Clients with extremely sensitive skin or specific scalp conditions (like psoriasis or eczema) should consult with the therapist or a dermatologist before undergoing the treatment to ensure that the products and techniques used will not cause irritation. Pregnant Women: While generally safe, pregnant women should check with their healthcare provider and inform the therapist to ensure that any products used are pregnancy-safe and that the massage techniques are appropriate. Allergies: Individuals with known allergies to certain ingredients should inform the therapist beforehand. Many spas offer hypoallergenic or customized treatments to accommodate these needs. Recent Scalp or Hair Treatments: Clients who have recently undergone chemical treatments (such as coloring, perming, or relaxing) should inform the therapist, as certain products or techniques might need to be adjusted to avoid adverse reactions. Medical Conditions: Those with medical conditions that affect the scalp or hair, or those undergoing treatments like chemotherapy, should consult with their healthcare provider to ensure the head spa treatment is suitable and beneficial. Overall, a Japanese head spa treatment can be highly beneficial for a broad spectrum of clients, provided their specific needs and conditions are taken into account. Consulting with a professional therapist and considering any underlying health concerns will ensure a safe and effective experience. https://residence-of-beauty-aesthetics-clinic.square.site/
